This week’s job tip takes a page out of a top salesman’s repetitore, take a marketing approach to interviewing. I recommend thinking of your interviewer as your customer and what you are selling is your background as a solution to their needs. The more you can meet those needs, the more likely you will be hired.
Remember; take a marketing approach to interviewing. Put yourself in the company’s shoes and focus in on their needs. Think of the interviewer as your customer and what you are selling is your background as a solution to their needs.

This week’s job tip is never bad mouth others in an interview. You have heard the old saying, “if you point your finger at someone, you have four fingers pointing back at you?” This very much applies to interviewing. Remember, your interviewer does not know who wronged you. All they will see is that you are a complainer and a possible problem to the organization.
Your main objective is to sell yourself in the interview. Don’t bad mouth others, no matter how horrible they are. It will only reflect poorly on you.
